Rachel Evans-White
I am a portrait artist, working in oils or acrylics depending how the mood takes me. I discovered a talent for portraits a few years ago, and I continue to be amazed every day by the faces that emerge out of the canvas. I grew up struggling to recognise people unless I knew them well, but finding out later on in life that this was a mild form of a condition called Prosopagnosia helped deal with that a little, as did painting faces.
I love to experiment with colour and texture, and paint bold confident portraits, evoking the inner essence of the subject. Often staying away from traditional skin tones, I have developed my own colourful style. I want to explore more than just the surface and get beneath the skin to the raw emotion, to the heart of the subject, to the soul.
I am currently taking on commissions for portraits – email me to start the conversation! Find me on Instagram (@radiantmoonart) to see my current work.
