The Disobedient of the Third Age

St Leonards photographers Patti Webb and Louise Whitham present an exhibition of portrait and experimental photographs in ‘The Disobedient of the Third Age’
The intention of the exhibition is to explode the quiet acceptance of invisibility in women ‘of a certain age’. Whilst applauding youth for their energy, in this exhibition they venerate the wrinkled skin, experience, ageing and the human condition inspired by the strong, confident resilient women of Hastings and around the world.

Elements of performance art planned for this exhibition will take a lighter look at visible older women and ageism. (One performance only Friday 6th Sept 6.30 pm) This will include a brief look at the sound piece ’Three Expressions of No’ by Jo Hutton.
