Patrick Glass – Portrait of a Collector

Patrick will be sharing over 50 works of art from his personal collection, depicting: fine views, nature, portraits, beauty and cartoons.

Traditional figurative art that he finds arresting, collected from auction houses over the last 20 years, including artists:
John Constable, Rosa Bonheur, Ambrose McCroy, John Linnel, Arthur Spooner, Raymond Sheppard, Sybil Blunt, C. W. Taylor, Fritz B. Althaus, Norman Dinnage, Elinor Darwin, Elizabeth Stewart-Jones, Percy H. Jowett, Sydney P. Kendrick, Amy Drucker, Arthur T. Haddon, George Butler, John Rayner, Walter S. Stacey, David Iredale and Ralph St J. Ainslee

Woven throughout the exhibition will be the Collectors personal narratives, obsessions and musings on each of the artworks on display, alongside artefacts from the Collectors home.

The Collection is for sale and visitors will be invited to engage and respond to their two favourite artworks.

To commemorate this exhibition HAF has commissioned a photographic portrait of the Collector by HAF Trustee and Photographer, Ian O’Leary – to be displayed in the exhibition.
