In 2011, drawn by the sea I relocated from London
to Ramsgate and felt inspired to start painting again
after many years.

Since then, I have exhibited and sold paintings in solo
and joint exhibitions in Kent, London and East Sussex.
My work isn’t about reality, it’s about a feeling. My
mind holds the emotions I feel when viewing a
seascape or vast sky. The smell, the noise, the
wind, the warmth, the cold, are just as important as
the visual. All this is held in my mind until I put
paint to canvas. I try to capture the immensity and
movement of the sea and sky. The weather, mood,
colour and light are ever changing.

Now living in Bexhill-on-Sea, I paint in my studio at
home using acrylics, which are applied to the canvas
using kitchen roll, sponges or cloth and water spray.
My style is impressionistic and expressive. Some of
my work can lean towards the abstract. My intention
moving forward is to continue to explore, learn, evolve,
create and exhibit.
