Anna Page
I studied art at Yeovil College, Philosophy and Literature at Warwick and also have a masters degree in songwriting from Bath Spa University.
In 2001, I combined art, philosophy, writing and music in a 2 week solo exhibition at The Quaker Gallery, St Martins Lane entitled How The Universe Works (The Answer To Everything), which led to being called the “Shining Child Of the Revelation Revolution” in the West End Extra.
I love using my imagination and observation to create art, music, poems and prose; I often find one art form informs another.
Through painting landscapes, I feel I can connect with the mysterious and magical beauty of nature with its calming, nurturing and transformative powers.
I enjoy inspiring others too, so have written and performed in several Hastings Fringe shows on the How the Universe Works theme. I also teach singing, guitar, piano, ukulele, bass and songwriting, and play gigs solo and with my band, Anna & The Mariners.
Cards of my artwork are available for sale at the gallery.
