Dead is a collection of paintings by Ian Probert in watercolour of singers and musicians who tragically died young. ‘Dead’ is not only representative of the images on display, but also of the artist’s state of mind while creating the works. Probert studied fine art at Exeter College of Art and Design in the 1980s but abandoned visual arts to concentrate on the written word. This is his very first exhibition.
