Members were invited to submit new work on the theme of ‘Homages’ to old masters & favourite artists/ designers.   This could take the form of a  transcript – direct copy made from another artwork, or something inspired by another artist or artwork –  responding to the style, colour, materiality or theme. 

We were interested in how artists interpret and respond to other artists and designers; what inspires them, and the creative ‘conversations’ they are having in their studio as they make their work.

The exhibition promises to showcase a wide variety of responses and visitors will also be able to view each artist’s research proposal and source material for the show.

Due to the popularity of this Open Call – we will be holding the exhibition in two parts – Homages II will open on the 30^th of April.
