“My art is mainly based on direct observation and is the result of an artistic and emotional response to the subject. I work in a wide variety of media to suit the subject and time devoted to it.

The works in this exhibition are chosen to represent a selection largely from the last two years, drawn from life at regular LOCAL weekly life drawing sessions. These sessions are very important to the artists who attend but the work is not usually shown. I hope to help redress this with this selection.

The models, both male and female, vary widely as does the media used. They are mainly drawn in graphite, charcoal and pastel. Some of the drawings are later reworked in oil paint.”
